Support Dogs is in need of volunteers to help at our fun and varied events and collections.

We are attend many events throughout the year from bucket collections in supermarkets to country shows and dog shows such as Crufts. We also organise many of our own events that you could help plan, attend and fundraise at. If you could help out at any of the events listed below than please let us know!

The support of volunteers to help raise funds and greater awareness of our charity is vital to us. It is only through this that we can grow and help more people.

Event times, locations and activities will vary but generally, your key tasks would include:

. Helping members of staff and other volunteers set up stalls, gazebos and other promotional equipment
. Welcome visitors to the event
. Talk to members of the public enthusiastically about Support Dogs to raise awareness about the work we do
. Encourage visitors at the event to take part in the activities, including fundraising games, raffles and dog shows
. Help to run games and fundraising activities (this may include cash handling)
. Hand out leaflets/ give information if required
. Redirect any questions you are unable to answer to an appropriate member of staff
. Oversee or hold a collection bucket to encourage donations to Support Dogs

As there will very often be dogs at our events, it is best that volunteers are comfortable in the presence of dogs.
